Jordan Stevens Receives Richard J. Maloney Award

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior guard Jordan Stevens (Gansevoort, N.Y.), a member of the Holy Cross men's basketball team, is the 2012-2013 recipient of the Richard J. Maloney Award. Since 1981, the Maloney Award has been presented annually by the Holy Cross Varsity Club to the men's basketball player who best exemplifies Mr. Maloney's spirit and energy as a loyal contributor to the program.

In 29 games played this year, Stevens averaged 5.7 points, 2.5 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals per contest, while hitting 34.6 percent of his shots from three-point range (36 of 104). He led the team in steals 12 times on the season and in assists nine times, while scoring in double-figures on five occasions. During the 79-60 victory over American on Jan. 19, Stevens scored a career-high 18 points.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Stevens totaled 518 points, 207 rebounds and 149 assists, while connecting on 34.7 percent (84 of 242) of his three-point field goal attempts.
