WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 30-October 6. Hughes led the Holy Cross women's cross country team to a first place finish in the College Brown Race at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.

At the Paul Short Invitational, Hughes had the top time on the team while finishing in 11th place overall. She clocked a time of 22:08 over the 6,000 meter course.

On the season, Hughes has now posted the fastest time on the team in three of her four races.

The Crusaders return to action this Saturday, Oct. 12, when they take part in the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass., beginning at 11:00 a.m.
