Juliano Pagliero

Juliano Pagliero is in his second season as an assistant men'shockey coach at Holy Cross in 2014-2015.

Pagliero came to Holy Cross afterserving as the Utica College assistant coach from 2011 until 2013.In 2013, Utica advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four and won the ECACWest regular-season championship for the 2012-2013 season. Also inthe 2012-2013 season, Pagliero asssisted the 2013 ECAC West Coachof the Year, Gary Heenan. He also recruited first team All-Americanand ECAC West Player of the Year, Louie Educate, and coachedgoaltender Nick Therrien, the ECAC West second team All-Star andthe goalie with the most regular-season wins in all of DivisionIII.

Pagliero graduated in 2009 fromNiagara University, and was a four-year member of the varsityhockey team as a goaltender. College Hockey America (CHA) namedPagliero the Player of the Year his senior season and he graduateda three-time All-Conference selection. While on the team, thePurple Eagles won the regular-season CHA championship in 2006 and2007. The team reached the NCAA tournament in 2008 after becomingthe 2008 CHA playoff champions. Pagliero participated in the OttawaSenators development camp following his junior season. He wasawarded the Niagara University Purple Heart award in 2009 as asenior. After his senior season, Pagliero participated in theChicago Blackhawks development camp and went on to play in theItalian first division for the Alleghe HC until 2010. He alsoplayed for the CHL’s Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees during the2010-2011 season.

Pagliero and his wife Kristin weremarried in 2013.
