Sophomore Owen Tunney of the Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from February 9-15.

Tunney recorded seven points on five goals and two assists as the Crusaders finished the week 1-1.

Tunney recorded three points (2g-1a) at Merrimack, assisting on the goal to make it 2-1 and scoring the goals to make it 4-2 and 10-6 in the 14-8 win on Wednesday night. On Saturday against Sacred Heart, Tunney recorded his first collegiate hat trick and tied his career-high in points, posting four points on three goals and an assist.

Tunney has surpassed his goal total from last season (3 in 2025, 7 in 2026) and is five points away from his total last season (15 in 2025, 10 in 2026) through the first four games this season.

Tunney and the Crusaders (2-2) continue their homestand on Saturday, Feb. 21 when they welcome Le Moyne to Kuzniewski Field for a 1 p.m. matchup.
