Senior shortstop Cam Meyer of the Holy Cross baseball team has been named the Crusader of the Week for competition from April 19 to 25.
Meyer batted .636 (7-for-11) in four contests, leading the Crusaders in a weekend split with Navy. Against the Midshipmen, he recorded an on-base percentage of .765 and additionally had a 1.455 slugging percentage with two doubles, two triples and a home run. He recorded multiple RBI in all four games, totaling nine on the weekend. He had a double and a triple in Game 1 against Navy on Saturday, April 24, his first game with multiple extra-base hits this season.
Over his last seven games, Meyer is hitting .579 (11-for-19) with an OBP of .714 and a slugging percentage of 1.211. He has reached base in nine consecutive games. This season, he is batting .258 with a team-high .468 slugging percentage, and has recorded 12 RBI - already a career best for Meyer in a single season. In Patriot League play, he is batting .265 with a .512 slugging percentage.
