Sydney Armand is in his second season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. His duties include all aspects of recruiting, player development, game planning and opponent scouting.
Armand joined the Crusaders after spending two years as the operations coordinator for the men’s basketball team at Brown University from 2022-2024. During that time, he was responsible for the coordination and organization of the day-to-day operations within the program.
Prior to his time at Brown, Armand spent three seasons as the men’s basketball video coordinator at the University of Rhode Island from 2019-2022. His duties included managing scout film, providing analytic reports to the coaching staff, and organizing and scheduling film sessions for players.
A 2019 graduate of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Armand served as the men’s basketball team’s head manager and special assistant to the director of basketball operations as an undergraduate. During that time, he also had a stint as the program’s interim director of basketball operations. Armand also spent time as a manager for the Rhode Island women’s basketball program, in addition to having a stint as the head coach for the Rhode Island Magic 15-under AAU team.
