Stephanie Reilly is in her fourth season as the Associate Head Cross Country and Distance Coach for the men’s and women’s track and field teams at Holy Cross. Under Reilly’s guidance, Holy Cross distance athletes have reached new heights, breaking school records in events ranging from the 800m to the 10000m, including the 800m, 1000m, 1500m, Mile, 3000m, 5000m, 2000m steeplechase, and the Distance Medley Relay. Her student-athletes have been equally impressive in the classroom, earning honors such as Academic All-District, Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and Academic All-Patriot League Team selections.

Before her tenure at Holy Cross, Reilly spent six years at Providence College, where she served as Head Women’s Track and Field Coach and Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country. Working alongside legendary coach Ray Treacy, she helped guide the nationally ranked Friars to multiple Big East and NCAA Regional Championships.

From 2007 to 2015, Reilly was the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field at Bryant University, where she played a lead role in the program’s transition from Division II to Division I. Her recruiting, both domestically and internationally, helped elevate the Bulldogs to new competitive levels, resulting in multiple Northeast Conference titles and numerous school records.

An accomplished athlete herself, Reilly represented Ireland at the 2012 London Olympics in the steeplechase. She also competed in the European Championships (2010 in Barcelona and 2012 in Helsinki) and the World Championships (2011 in Daegu). As a student-athlete at Providence College, she captained the indoor and outdoor track teams and was a key member of the 1999 Big East Championship-winning cross country team.

Reilly holds both a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Management and a Master’s in Education from Providence College. She has previously served on the NCAA Olympic Sports Liaison Committee and the Northeast Conference Executive Committee.

She lives with her husband, Paul, and their three children: Luke, Dylan, and Marcus.
