Steffon Mitchell is in his first year as the assistant director of athletics development at the College of the Holy Cross in 2024-2025.
Mitchell came to the Crusaders from the University of Louisville, where he spent the 2023-2024 school year as a graduate assistant for the men's basketball program. He assisted the coaching staff with drills and game simulations in daily practice, supported the staff in creating and developing team game plans and scouting reports, organized and compiled team and opponent film, and analyzed team and opponent statistical trends.
During his time as an undergraduate at Boston College, Mitchell was a member of the men's basketball team, starting 98 of 108 games while averaging 6.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. He was an Atlantic Coast Conference All-Defensive Team selection in 2019-2020.
After graduating from Boston College, Mitchell played professionally in Germany and Norway.
A native of Shakopee, Minn., Mitchell earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College in 2021 and a master’s degree in sport management from Louisville in 2024.
