Holy Cross Athletics

Shawn McCabe is in his third season as a volunteer assistant men’s and women’s track and field coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2022-23. McCabe joins the crusaders after spending the last six years as the throwing coach at Worcester State University. McCabe will continue his focus on throwing events while at Holy Cross.

While at Worcester State, he coached a combined 27 conference champions across all throwing events for both the men’s and women’s programs. Additionally, McCabe oversaw the development of three All-Americans and the breaking of three school records.

McCabe holds an undergraduate degree in History/Secondary Education from Worcester State and a masters in Exercise Science/Strength and Conditioning from Concordia University of Chicago. While at Worcester State, he was a member of the men’s track and field team and was a multiple time All-MASCAC selection.
