Kyle Gallo

Kyle Gallo enters his second season with the Holy Cross golf program as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the men's golf program.

During the 2023-24 season, he helped coach two All-Patriot League Team selections, Nolan Schuermann ('25, First Team) and Ryan Scollins ('27, Second Team) who helped the Crusaders to a fifth place team finish at the Patriot League Championship.

Gallo brings over 15 years of professional golf experience and four years of coaching experience to the Hill. He was the men's golf head coach at his alma mater, Central Connecticut State University, from 2015 to 2018 before heading to Western New England University for the 2018-19 season.

At CCSU, Gallo amassed numerous team and coaching accomplishments. He coached the NEC Player of the year, one First Team All-NEC player and three Second Team All-NEC selections. He was named the New England Coach of the Year in 2018 after leading his team to a NEC Championship in 2018 and received the New England Team of the Year award. 

Gallo has a decorated playing career dating back to the 90’s. The native of Kensington, Conn., is a member of the Berlin High School Hall of Fame. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1993 after being named All-Conference four times. He was a three-time All-State selection and a two-time All-New England pick. 

Gallo competed at the division I level attending the University of Texas El Paso for the 1995-96 where he was a First Team Western Athletic Conference selection. He transferred to CCSU for the remainder of his collegiate career from 1993-95 and 1997-98 where he was a three-time All-New England selection. 

Gallo's career took off while he was in college. He was the runner-up in the 1995 Connecticut Amateur, named the 1997 Connecticut Golf Association Player of the Year and qualified for the U.S. Amateur in 1995, 1997 and 1998. He turned professional in 1998 and went on to win numerous tournaments, in addition to his four Connecticut Open titles, including the 1999 Maine Open, the 2004 Providence Open, the 2009 and 2014 Cape Cod Open and the 2011 Massachusetts Open. He also posted victories in the 2013 New England Open, 2013 Washington D.C. Open and the 2005 and 2010 Manchester Open.
