Jon Poppe is in his second season on Tom Gilmore’scoaching staff in 2011, serving as an assistant secondary coach.Poppe came to Holy Cross after serving as a graduate assistantcoach at Springfield College during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Hecoached both the quarterbacks and the fullbacks, in addition torunning the defensive scout team.

Poppe previously spent one season as an intern assistant coachat King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., coaching thecornerbacks and special teams. A 2007 graduate of Williams College,Poppe was a three-year starter in the secondary for the Ephs. Heearned first team All-New England Small College Athletic Conferencehonors as a senior, in addition to being selected All-East Regionby Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette.
