Holy Cross Athletics

Cara Abraham is in her ninth year at Holy Cross in 2024-25. As the Director of Athletics Development, she drives the strategy for all athletics fundraising, working with fundraisers on comprehensive strategies that include athletics solicitations, managing a portfolio of major gift athletics prospects and overseeing the Crusader Athletics Fund initiatives. During her time at Holy Cross, the Crusader Athletics Fund has grown from raising $1.6 million to $3.5 million annually. She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).

Abraham came to Holy Cross from Bucknell University, where she served as the manager of athletic development for the Bison Club for two years. During the 2015-16 school year, she helped Bucknell raise $2.6 million. Prior to her time at Bucknell, Abraham was the senior development manager at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. In that role she managed a portfolio of over 300 individual donors and 130 corporate accounts raising over $3 million annually.

Abraham is a 2011 graduate of Endicott College where she was a member of the field hockey team. She and her husband Izzy and sons Khyri and Callan reside in Worcester County.
