Augusto Lima is in his first season as an assistant men’s soccer coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025. Lima is heavily involved with all facets of the program, including skill instruction, game preparation and recruiting.
Lima joined the Crusaders after spending two years as the head coach at Clarkson University in 2023 and 2024. He led the Golden Knights to an overall record of 16-7-9 during that time, while coaching eight All-Conference and two All-Region players. Lima’s squad posted a team goals against average of 0.76 in 2004, after recording an 0.87 goals against average in 2023.
Prior to his time at Clarkson, Lima served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Northeastern University in 2022. He was previously an assistant coach at the University of Rochester in 2021, helping the Yellow Jackets reach the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Lima spent two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Bucknell University (fall 2019, spring 2021). He began his coaching career as an assistant at Susquehanna University in 2017 and 2018.
Lima was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team at Susquehanna during his time as an undergraduate. The team’s starting goalkeeper in his junior and senior seasons, Lima started 27 games and posted a 1.20 goals against average in nearly 2500 career minutes, making 102 saves and collecting 11 wins and nine shutouts.
A native of Campinas, Brazil, Lima earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Susquehanna in 2016. He also owns a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 3 Diploma and a United Soccer Coaches Federation D License.
