Holy Cross Athletics

2017-2018:

• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

2016-2017:

• Competed in six individual events including the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 50 fly, 100 fly, and 100 IM
• Recorded season-best times in the 100 IM (1:10.35) in the Worcester City Championships (10/29), in the 100 backstroke (1:07.87) against Assumption (10/1), and in the 100 fly (1:06.63) in the Harold Anderson Invitational (11/19)

Before Holy Cross:

• A three-year member of the varsity swimming team at Amarillo High School under head coach Brad Douglass, serving as team captain her senior year
• Team won districts during the 2013-2014 season
• Recorded career-best times in the 100 free (59.20 and 50 free (29.05))
• Earned Rookie of the Year award in 2014 and Most Dedicated award in 2015 and 2016
• Also swam for the Amarillo Swim Team under head coach Ron Lee, recording career-best time in the 100m back (1:21.38)

 Personal:

• Daughter of Dr. Gary and Susan Soya
• Has two brothers (Daniel and Kyle)
• An English and art history double major
