Biography
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2022-23:
- Finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.31) in the dual meet against Iona (10/8).
- Placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.53) in the dual meet versus Fairfield (10/29).
BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
- Competed for five years on varsity under head coach Matthew Cory.
- Academic All-American Athlete (2022).
- Team MVP (2021).
- Team Rookie of the Year (2018).
- Section Champion (2019).
- Four-time Suburban East Conference 3AA All-Conference.
- Set four team records (200 medley relay, 400 free relay, 100 butterfly, 200 free relay).
- Was ranked top-eight in sections during freshman-to-senior year and qualified for the state meets.
- Competed for the South East Metro Sharks Swim Club under head coach Zach Devine.
- Set 13 team records in the short course and long course.
- Placed 15th in the 200 fly at Junior Nationals in 2021.
- Was a National Honor Society member as well as a member of the student cabinet and key club.
PERSONAL:
- Daughter of Chance and Michele Garrity.
- As one brother, Adam.
- Environmental science major with plans to be an environmental scientist or environmental lawyer.
