Holy Cross Athletics

2015-2016:

• Competed in eight individual events including the 100 backstroke, 100 and 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke, 100 and 500 freestyle and 100 and 200 IM
• Also competed in the 200 and 400 freestyle relay, as well as the 200 and 400 medley relay
• Recorded season-best times in the 100 back (1:09.68), 100 breaststroke (1:21.70), 100 freestyle (1:01.34) and 100 IM (1:10.86) at the Assumption Pentathlon (10/3), in the 100 butterfly (1:04.17) at the New England Catholic Invitational (10/17), in the 200 IM (2:25.19) versus Colgate (10/25), in the 200 butterfly (2:25.11) at Siena (10/21) and in the 500 freestyle (1:04.47) versus Fairfield (10/31)
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

2014-2015:

• Competed in seven individual events including the 100 freestyle, 100 and 200 individual medley, 100 and 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke
• Also competed on the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle and 200 and 400 medley relay teams
• Swam season-best times in the 100 individual medley (1:08.70) at the Holy Cross Pentathlon, 200 individual medley (2:18.48) and 100 butterfly (1:00.68) at the Patriot League Championship and the 200 butterfly (2:15.87) at the Harold Anderson Invitational. 

Before Holy Cross:

• Four-year member of the Needham High School varsity swim team
• Named team captain during senior year
• Named MVP from (2011-2013), Bay State All-Star (2010-2013), player of the week by Needham Times (2011 and 2013)
• Set school and Bay State Conference record in 200 and 400 freestyles
• Placed in top five at sectionals and state championship in 100 butterfly and 200 IM (2012-2013)
• Won 100 butterfly at 2012 Bay State Conference Championship
• Swam fly for the Crimson Aquatics club team.

• Daughter of James and Shelly Santaniello
• Father was team captain of basketball and soccer teams at Connecticut College
• Mother played field hockey and lacrosse for Connecticut College
• Has two brothers, Michael and Nicholas
• Majoring in Music and Philosophy
