Natalie Caney enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach to head coach Ben Graham for the women's soccer program ahead of the 2025 season. 

Caney joined the Crusaders while previously working with the New England Revolution as a player development coach in 2024. Before that, she was working at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a women’s soccer assistant coach and volunteer director of women’s soccer operations from 2021 to 2023.

During her playing career, Caney, a forward, led the MCLA Trailblazers as a team captain her senior season. She concluded her four-year stint on the team, playing in 67 games with 65 starts. She scored 24 goals, seven game-winners and six assists for 54 career points. Caney was the 2013 MASCAC Rookie of the Year, a two-time All-MASCAC Second Team selection (2014 & 2015) and a two-time All-MASCAC First Team honoree (2013 & 2016). She picked up five MASCAC Rookie of the Week awards and two ECAC weekly honors. She graduated from MCLA in May of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in sociology with minors in social work, sports coaching and women’s studies. Caney returned to school to receive her master's in exercise and sports studies from Smith College in May of 2020. She has her Grass Roots and D License from the United States Soccer Federation.
