David Hughes enters his second season as a women’s soccer assistant coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2021-22.
Hughes comes to The Hill with numerous levels of coaching experience. He serves as an assistant coach for the Inter CT ’09 and ’06 boys teams as well as the Scorpions Soccer ’03 and ’05 girls teams, while also working as a goalkeeper coach with Inter CT. Hughes also serves as a staff coach at the Play90 Academy & Soccer Rhode Island ODP.
During the 2019-20 season, he served as the director of technical analysis with Providence College women’s soccer. From 2016-19, Hughes served as an assistant and goalkeeper coach with the Watertown high school boys’ varsity team.
Hughes double majored at Marist College in communications and business administration, graduating in 2017. He went on to earn his MBA in business from Providence College in 2020.
