Biography
2023-2024 (Junior):
- Competed in four fall races.
- Rowed with the Open 8+ 'C' to a 23rd-place finish and finished fifth in the Open 2x at the Head of the Riverfront (Oct. 1).
- Helped the 3V 8+ to a 14th place finish at the SHU invite (Oct. 14).
- Finished eighth with the Collegiate 8+ 'C' at the Wormtown Chase (Oct. 29).
- Finished second in the 2v4+ B final at the NYRA Fall Invitational (Nov. 6).
- Competed in four spring races.
- Rowed with the 4v8+ at Tufts (April 6).
- Defeated Colgate in a head-to-head race with the 3v8+ (April 13).
- Raced to a fourth-place finish with the 3v8+ at the Holy Cross Invitational (April 20).
- Finished fifth with the 3v8+ in the petite final at the New England Rowing Championship (May 4).
2022-2023 (Sophomore):
- Raced to a 29th-place finish with the second eight at the Head of the Riverfront (10/2).
- Competed in four spring races.
- Won the grand final at the Jesuit Invitational (3/25) and the petite final at the New England Championship (5/6) with the third varsity eight.
- Placed third at the Christensen-Irving Cup (4/6) with the varsity four 'B' and at the Colgate Regatta (4/22) with the second varsity four 'B'.
2021-2022 (Freshman):
- Finished fourth with the varsity four against Boston College and Connecticut (4/10).
- Raced with the third varsity eight to a second-place finish against Mount Holyoke (4/16).
- Finished first with the third varsity eight against MIT, URI, and Sacred Heart (4/23).
BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
- Competed for seven seasons on varsity at Bedford High School under head coach Randy Ford.
- Served as captain for the 2020-2021 season.
- Received the 2020-2021 Sportsmanship Award.
- Was a member of NHS and NSHS.
PERSONAL:
- Daughter of Linda and Joe Thornton.
- Has one brother, Brendan.
- Majoring in history.
- Aspires to go into physical therapy in the future.
