Holy Cross Athletics

2015-2016:

• Rowed in four fall events and six spring regattas
• Competed in the club eight A that finished 13th out of 47 boats at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta (Oct. 24)
• Was a member of the second varsity eight that beat Colgate (Apr. 2) and won the Petite Final at the Patriot League Championship (May 24)

2014-2015:

• Rowed in one fall regatta and four spring regattas
• Member of the freshman eight at the Head of the Schuylkill (Oct. 25)
• Member of the novice eight that finished sixth at the Knecht Cup (Apr. 12)
• Member of the third varsity eight that finished third in the petite final at the Eastern Sprints (May 3)

Before Holy Cross:

• Played two seasons of varsity volleyball at Barnstable High School
• Team captain senior year
• Team won the Old Colony League Championship, South Sectional Championship and MIAA Division I State championship in 2012 and 2013
• Swam for two seasons on the varsity swim team
• Ran three seasons on the indoor track team
• Won second place in long jump for the OCL
• Won second place in the 4x200 relay for the OCL
• Vice president of National Honor Society
• Secretary of student council
• Named an AP Scholar with Distinction in 2014

Personal:

• Daughter of David and Christine Gorrill
• Mom was a distance runner on the UMass track team (1985)
• Has one sister (Lucey)
• Uncle Michael Pratt played Rugby at Holy Cross and graduated in 1991
• Also her uncle Peter Pratt (Class of 1987), aunt Maura O’Gara Pratt (Class of 1991) and aunt Maureen (Pratt) Devlin (Class of 1981)
