Biography
2014-2015: Rowed in four spring regattas…member of the novice eight at the Knecht Cup (4/12)…member of the third varsity eight that finished third in the petite final at the Eastern Sprints (5/3).
Before Holy Cross: Played four years of varsity volleyball at Immaculate Heart Academy under head coach Maria Nolan…served as a team captain her senior year…her team was the Jersey Classic champions all four years, Undefeated League champions all four years, NJSIAA Non-Public State champions all four years and was New Jersey’s team of the year from 2011-2014…earned third team All-League her senior year…she also played on volleyball club team Alpha Gamma Volleyball Club under head coach Brett Shaffer…in school she won first honors all four years and was an AP scholar…member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Randy and Siobhan Powell…her father was an All-American in Rifle at Army all four years…he placed second in the NCAA Rifle Championship in 1985…her mother played tennis for Marymount University for two years and graduated from Pace University…has one brother (Ryan)...an Accounting major.
