Biography
2024-2025 (Sophomore):
-
Finished ninth in the Collegiate 8+ with the 2nd Varsity 8+ at the Head of the Snake (10/5).
2023-2024 (Freshman):
- Competed in four fall events.
- Won the Open Novice 8+ and finished third in the Open 2x at the Head of the Riverfront (Oct. 1).
- Helped the 3V 8+ to a 14th place finish at the SHU invite (Oct. 14).
- Finished fourth with the Collegiate 8+ 'B' and second with the Novice 4+ at the Wormtown Chase (Oct. 29).
- Helped the second varsity 8+ to a second-place finish at the NYRA Fall Invitational (Nov. 6).
- Competed in all six spring races.
- Raced to a fourth-place finish with the 2v4 at the Jesuit Invitational (March 23).
- Raced to a third-place finish with the 2v8 at Tufts (April 6).
- Defeated Colgate twice with the 2v8 (April 13).
- Finished third with the 2v8 at the Holy Cross Invitational (April 20).
- Finished fourth in the grand final with the 2v8 at the New England Rowing Championship (May 4).
- Raced to a fifth-place finish in the grand final with the 2v8 at the Patriot League Championship (May 17).
BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
- Was a three year varsity ski racer at Winchester.
- Competed in the giant slalom and slalom events.
- Helped team to a 2022 conference championship.
- Also a member of the women's swimming and diving team at Winchester, competing in freestyle and butterfly.
- Member of the National Honors Society.
PERSONAL:
- Daughter of Christine and Andrew Schmitt.
- Mother, Christine '91, was a member of the Holy Cross women's rowing team.
- Brother, Anton, plays rugby at Boston College.
- Plans to major in English.
- Aspires to work in marketing or business in the future.
