Biography
2011-2012: Memberof the club eight boat that placed third out of 16 boats at the41st Schuylkill Regatta (Oct. 29)...rowed for the varsity four inall nine spring regattas...varsity four placed fourth at thePatriot League Championship (April 29) and second at the NewEngland Championship (May 5)...earned Patriot League Academic HonorRoll accolades.
2010-2011: Rowed for the varsity four that placedthird at the Patriot League Championship (April 24)…memberof the novice eight in eight spring regattas…part of thenovice eight which won dual-races over New Hampshire (April 2) andSimmons (April 3), finished first in a race with Boston College andConnecticut (April 17), placed fifth at the New EnglandChampionship (April 30) and came in fourth at the ECAC NationalInvitational (May 8)…named to the Patriot League AcademicHonor Roll.
Before Holy Cross: Attended Essex H.S. in EssexJunction, Vt.…a member of the varsity cross country andtrack and field teams...indoor track team won the statechampionship four times, outdoor track team won the state title in2008 and 2009, and cross country team won the state championship in2008…member of the outdoor 4x800 meter relay team that setthe school record at the 2008 Vermont Division 1 state meet with atime of 9:58.54…in cross country, named the Most PromisingFirst Year Runner in 2008 and won the Academic Achievement award in2009…finished in the top five out of class of 364students…in 2010, won the Essex H.S. Science award, theSociety of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit for Highest Honorin Science and Mathematics and was named a Burlington Free PressAcademic All-Star…member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Joseph Tobey and KarolWilson…has one sister (Sarah)…a Biology major.
