Andrea Landry

Andrea Landry is in her sixth season as head coach of the College of the Holy Cross women’s rowing program in 2025-2026. Since arriving on Mount St. James, Landry has guided the Crusaders through steady competitive growth and academic excellence. In her first season, Holy Cross placed fifth at the Patriot League Championship, its best team finish since 2015, while 32 student-athletes earned spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
 
Under Landry’s leadership, the program has continued its upward trajectory. Holy Cross increased its Patriot League Championship point total from 13 in 2022 to 24 in 2023, followed by a breakthrough performance in 2024 when all three boats advanced to the grand finals for the first time since 2015, earning 27 total standings points.
 
Landry joined Holy Cross after a decade on the coaching staff at the University of Massachusetts. From 2009 to 2019, she helped lead the Minutewomen to three Atlantic 10 (A10) Championships, three Dad Vail Regatta women’s team titles, and three NCAA Championship appearances. During her tenure, UMass never finished lower than third at the A10 Championship.
 
Landry served as UMass’ acting head coach during the spring and summer of 2019, guiding the team to a third-place finish at the A10 Championship. Previously, Landry was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator from 2017-2019, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from 2014-2017, assistant coach from 2011-2014, beginning her career at UMass as a graduate assistant coach from 2009-2011.
 
During the 2016-17 season, UMass won the A10 Championship and advanced to the NCAA Championship. The Minutewomen cemented themselves as the top team in the A10 when the varsity eight and varsity four took gold in their respective grand final races, while the second varsity eight earned silver. Under Landry’s guidance, four student-athletes earned All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors following the 2017 conference championship.

In 2015-16, Landry helped UMass to the Dad Vail Regatta women’s title. The Minutewomen also won gold in the second varsity eight at the Knecht Cup and participated in the prestigious Henley Regatta. In 2014-15, UMass won both the A10 Championship and the Dad Vail Regatta women’s title, while making an appearance in the NCAA Championship.

During the 2013-14 campaign, she helped the Minutewomen to the A10 Championship, a first-place finish at the Knecht Cup and an NCAA Championship appearance. Landry’s walk-on novice eight finished second at the Dad Vail Regatta as UMass won the women's team title at the event.
 
While during her time at UMass, Landry served as an assistant men’s and women’s rowing coach at Amherst College in 2011 and has been a coach at the All-American Rowing Camp since 2013.

A former varsity rower at UMass from 2005 - 2009, Landry was a member of the varsity eight and helped the Minutewomen win three A10 Championships as a student-athlete.
 
Between her collegiate and coaching career, Landry has been part of six A10 championship teams.
 
Landry, a USRowing Level 3 High Performance certified coach, earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from UMass in 2009 and her master’s degree in kinesiology in 2012. She resides in Worcester County with her husband, Kyle, and their three daughters, Alice, Audrey, and Ava.
