2019 Outdoor (Senior):

• Had a personal best in the javelin (41.35m) at the Holy Cross Men’s Meet (4/23).

2018-2019 Indoor (Senior):

• Did not compete.

2017-2018:

• Competed in the javelin throw for the Crusaders.
• Recorded a season-best distance (40.72m) at the Black and Gold Invitational.

2016-2017:

• Did not compete.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2015-2016:

• Competed in the javelin throw, recording a season-best distance (41.00m) at the Skyhawk Invitational (4/30/2016).
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before Holy Cross:

• Team captain of cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams his junior and senior years at Gill St. Bernard's.
• N.J. Prep-B State Champion in 2014, and runner-up in 2013 and 2015.
• First Team State Prep-B 2014 and Second Team 2013 and 2015.
• Qualified for New Jersey State Group Championship meet for Group B in 2012 and 2013
• Qualified for New Jersey State Meet of Champions in 2014.
• Honorable Mention All-Skylands Conference 2012, 2013 and 2015.
• Second Team All-Skylands Conference 2014.
• Skylands Conference Student-Athlete of the Year 2015.
• Student Government Vice President.
• Earned Government and Politics Award in 2014, as well as Literature Award in 2015.

Personal:

• Son of Stephen Tafaro and Catherine Flynn.
• Stephen competed in track and field at Hamilton College.
• Has two brothers (Christopher and Andrew) and one sister (Erica).
• Grandfather, Thomas Flynn, graduated from Holy Cross in 1949.
• Majoring in political science.
• Aspires to become an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
