2014-2015:  
• Competed in the 5,000-meter run
• Ran season-best time in the 5,000 (16:36.92) at the Jay Carisella Invitational. 

2013-2014:
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2012-2013:
• Ran in the 800, 1,500, one mile, 3,000, 5,000 and 4x880 relay
• Recorded season-best times in the 800 meter (2:14.08) at the Dick Shea Open (March 30), 1,500 meter (4:16.54) at the Holy Cross Men’s Meet (April 24), one mile (4:45.89) at Maine (Feb. 2), 3,000 meter (9:19.50) at the Joe Donahue Games (Jan. 25) and 5,000 meter (16:01.56) at the Holy Cross Invitational (April 20)
• Member of the 4x880 meter relay team that set a team-season best time of 8:32.04 at Maine
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before Holy Cross:
• Three-year member of the varsity track and field teams at St. Joseph Regional H.S. under head coach Nick DeVito
• Also a four-year member of the varsity cross country team
• Named Most Improved Athlete in 2011 and cross country MVP his senior year
• Selected second team All-League in 2010, first team All-League in 2011 and 2012, and honorable mention All-County in 2012
• Received the Brett Taylor Scholarship
• Won the academic SJR Green Knight Medal, ranked first in history and was an AP Scholar with honors
• Vice president of National Honor Society.

• Son of Brian and Mary Murphy
• Has one brother (Thomas) and three sisters (Meghan, Julia and Erin)
• Has not yet declared a major
• Also a member of the Holy Cross cross country team.
