Jason Sliwoski enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Holy Cross track and field teams in 2024-2025.
During his time on The Hill, Sliwoski has coached nine current school record holders and multiple All-Patriot League team selections.
On the men’s side, Sliwoski has coached the likes of Mike Mazzocca (four-time Second Team All-Patriot League, two-time Academic All-Patriot League, four-time 60m hurdles record breaker/current holder, two-time 110m hurdles record breaker/current holder, two-time 4x100m relay record breaker/current holder and seven-time championship medalist), Brian Fennelly (CSC Academic All-America Third Team, two-time CSC Academic All-District, two-time Academic All-Patriot League Team and two-time heptathlon record breaker/current holder), Chris Barone (Academic All-Patriot League Team, 4x100m relay current record holder and 60m current record holder) and Aidan Bergin (CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-Patriot League Team and 200m current record holder).
On the women’s side, Sliwoski has coached the likes of Obiamaka Igwenegu (First Team All-Patriot League, Second Team All-Patriot League, Outdoor Patriot League triple jump current record holder and indoor and outdoor triple jump current record holder), Celia Kulis (heptathlon current record holder, 100m hurdles current record holder and two-time championship medalist) and Ella Grey (60m hurdles current record holder and five-time championship medalist).
Sliwoski joined the Crusaders after the 2020-21 season where he worked as an assistant coach at Worcester State during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous to that he coached at Brandeis University from 2016-202 where he worked with five men's (60m hurdles, pole vault, heptathlon, 4x100m relay and decathlon) and four women’s (60m hurdles, 100m hurdles, pole vault, 4x100m relay) school record holders. The Leicester, Mass. native started his coaching career at the University of Maine working with hurdlers and combined events.
Sliwoski earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Worcester State in 2015 where he was a member of the men’s track and field team. At Worcester State, he competed as a multi and still currently holds the school record in both the heptathlon (4,670 pts.) and decathlon (6,292 pts.). Sliwoski resides in Spencer, Mass with his wife Jordan.
