2010: Ran a personal-best time in the 1,500 (4:13.38), one mile (4:38.71), 3,000 (8:57.05) and 5,000 (15:37.02) ... placed third in the 3,000 in the dual meet against Maine ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2009: Finished with a time of 16:18.84 in the 5,000 at the Northeastern Spring Open ... placed 20th with a time of 4:27.79 in the 1,500 at Holy Cross ... ran a personal-best time of 9:26.48 in the 3,000 at UNH ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2008: Ran personal-best time of 4:22.74 in the 1500 meter run at the Holy Cross Invitational ... had a personal-best time of 2:15.48 in the 800 at the Northeastern Invite ... had a personal-best time of 16:08.60 in the 5,000 at the Brown Springtime Invite.

Before Holy Cross: Varsity member of the cross country and track teams at St. John’s H.S. ... named team captain in 2006 ... named a CMC All-Star in 2005 and 2006 ... received the Pioneer Award ... team won the district championship in 2005-2006 and was a state finalist in 2006.

Personal: Son of John and Patricia Bergan ... father graduated from Holy Cross in 1969 … has two brothers (Dan and Michael) and one sister (Bridget) … brother, Dan, is on the rowing team at Notre Dame ... majoring in Political Science and Spanish ... also a member of the Holy Cross cross country team.
