Holy Cross Athletics

2018-2019:

• Won the 1M Dive vs. Iona (160.12)
• Won the 3M Dive vs. Iona (155.85)
• Had 11 top three, 15 top five, and 15 top ten finishes on the year
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

2015-2016:

• Competed in seven individual events including the 100 and 200 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 100 and 200 IM and the 100 freestyle
• Also competed in the 200 and 400 freestyle relay, as well as the 200 and 400 medley relay
• Recorded season-best times in 100 breaststroke (1:16.65), 100 freestyle (57:73) and 100 IM (1:04.39) at the Assumption Pentathlon (10/3), in the 200 IM (2:08.80) and the 200 back (2:07.26) at the Harald Anderson Invitational (11/21) and in the 100 back (55.70) and the 100 butterfly (56.82) at the Patriot League Championship (11/19)

Before Holy Cross:

• A four-year member of the Cheverus High swimming team under head coach Kevin Haley, serving as team captain during the 2014-2015 season
• Competed in the backstroke, butterfly and IM events
• Notched a sixth-place spot in the Class A men’s 100 backstroke in 2015
• Earned captain’s award in 2015
• Team was named Class A State Champions from 2013-2015
• Also swam for the Seacoast Swim Club under head coach AJ Rog, competing in butterfly and IM events
• Member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society

 Personal:

• Son of John and Suzette Devine
• Has one brother, John and one sister, Addie
• John is a member of the swimming and diving team at Colby College (Class of 2018)
• Addie was a member of the Holy Cross swimming and diving team and graduated in 2016
• Majoring in Biology and Spanish and is Pre-Vet
• Plans to attend Veterinary Medical School in the fall of 2019
