Holy Cross Athletics

2014-2015:

• Competed in eight individual events including 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 100 individual medley and 50, 100, 200, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle
• Also competed on the 200 and 400 freestyle and the 200 and 400 medley relay teams
• Posted career-best times in the 100 backstroke (1:13.12) and 100 breaststroke (1:15.16) at the Holy Cross Pentathlon and 1,650 freestyle (19:55.92) at the Worcester City Championship
• \Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 

2013-2014: 

• Competed in three individual events including the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle
• Member of the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relay and the 400 medley relay teams
• Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 

2012-2013:

• Competed in six individual events including the 50 and 100 freestyles, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly and 100 individual medley
• Earned season-best times in the 100 back (1:18.34), 100 breast (1:20.99), 100 fly (1:13.59) and 100 IM (1:13.24) against Assumption; 50 free (24.52) versus Bryant; and 100 free (55.27) at the Worcester City Championships
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before Holy Cross:

• Two-year member of Malden Catholic H.S. varsity swim team under coach Joe Gaff
• Career individual statistics for the 50 Free are 25.89 and for the 100 Breast is 1:22
• Swam for the Melrose YMCA Sharks
• Three-sport athlete including cross country and lacrosse
• Cross country Catholic Conference All-Star in 2010
• Member of National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

Personal:

• Son of Joe and Christina Terranova
• Both father and mother graduated from Holy Cross in 1985
• Mother was a member of the swim team
• Has one brother (Christopher) and one sister (Olivia)
• Grandfather, Carl Austin Weiss Jr. (Class of 1954) and uncle, Carl Austin Weiss II (Class of 1987) are both Holy Cross alumni.
• Majoring in Mathematics.
