Biography
2012-2013: Competed in five individual events including the 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 individual medley, 1,000 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle…posted season-best times in the 100 back (1:04.00), 100 breast (1:21.08) and 100 IM (1:07.10) against Assumption…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2011-2012: Competed in six different individual events including the 50, 100, 200 and 500 freestyles, 50 backstroke and 100 butterfly… also a member of the 800 freestyle relay team…posted season-best times at the Patriot League Championship (2/16-2/18) in the 50 free (24.03), 100 free (51.58), 200 free (1:52.42) and 500 free (5:14.93)…named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2010-2011: Posted season-best times at the Patriot League Championship in the 50 free (23.98), 100 free (51.72), 200 free (1:54.80) and 100 fly (1:00.12).
Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity swim team at Newton South H.S...team captain senior year...received the Booster Club 110% award sophomore and junior seasons...member of the Newton South Honor Roll.
Personal: Son of David and Fay Chelmow...has one sister (Jenny)...majoring in Mathematics.
