Tim Murray

Tim Murray is in his first seasonat Holy Cross as an assistant men’s soccer coach in 2014.Murray serves as the team’s goalkeepers coach.

Murray, who is a 2009 graduate ofProvidence, was a member of the New England Revolution from2010-2012 and played for the Carolina Railhawks of the NASL. He hasthree years of collegiate assistant coaching experience as he spentthe 2012 season with Providence, while he coached at Brandeis forthe 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Murray holds the Providence recordfor most career shutouts with 27. He played in 60 career games. Hehelped the Friars post a 9-7-3 mark in 2008 as he recorded a 0.86goals against average and notched a career-high 10 shutouts. Murrayfinished with nine shutouts and posted a 0.90 goals against averagein 2009 as Providence reached the BIG EAST semifinals for thesecond time in four years. Murray also helped the Friars reach theNCAA Tournament in 2006 and 2007. He was a team captain andreceived the 2008-2009 Big East/Aeropostale Scholar Athlete Award.Murray earned a bachelor’s degree from Providence inaccounting.
