2012-2013: Namedto 2013 IRA All-Academic team.
2011-2012:Competed in six spring regattas...member of the freshman four thatwon a race against Georgetown (April 14)...rowed for the secondfreshman eight that won a race with Rutgers (April 22).
Before Holy Cross: Member of the varsity lacrosseteam at Choate Rosemary Hall for coach Michael Velez…memberof the varsity squash team for coach Tom Kiedel…was theHartford Golf Club under-17 champion in 2007.
Personal: Son of Dr. Giles and LynnWhalen…father played lacrosse at Harvard…mother was amember of the field hockey team at Wheaton College…has onebrother (John) and two sisters (Ann and Sarah)…grandfather,Dr. Gerald Whalen, is a 1941 graduate of Holy Cross...majoring inMath.
