2011-2012: Competed in seven different individual events including the 100, 200 and 1,000 freestyles, 50, 100 and 200 backstrokes and 100 butterfly…posted season-best times 100 back (1:01.96) at the Terrier Invitational and in the 200 free (2:00.89) and 200 back (2:14.43) at the Patriot League Championship…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2010-2011: Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity swim team at Westford Academy...team captain in 2010...named Scholar Athlete in 2007, 2008 and 2009...named a Lowell Sun second team All-Star in 2009 and 2010...was a state qualifier all four years...member of the Patriot Swim Club...was a 2010 New England Age Group Championship qualifier and a 2010 New England Open Championship qualifier...served as president of Future Educators of America...member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Paul and Peg Marrkand...has one brother (Michael) and one sister (Jen)...majoring in English.
