Chris Noone enters his secondseason as a volunteer assistant coach with men's varsity in2008-2009.

Noone began rowing at Saint John'sHigh School in Shrewsbury, Mass., and later was a USRowing AcademicAll-American rower at Holy Cross, graduating in 1994. He rowed insome of the most successful boats in Holy Cross history, includingboats that earned bronze medals at the Head of the Charles and Headof the Connecticut Regattas during the fall of his senior year.Additionally, he was a silver medalist at the New England RowingChampionships and a bronze medalist at the inaugural ChampionInternational Collegiate Regatta (now known as the ECACInvitational Regatta). He capped his collegiate career by sittingin stroke seat of the men's lightweight eight that finished 7th atthe IRA National Championships. After graduation, Chrisparticipated in the USRowing Lightweight developmental rowing camp,earning a silver medal at the 1994 US National Championship.

Head coach Todd Pearson citesNoone's intensity as a rower as a major asset to the current team."Chris was a role model for my era of rowers at Holy Cross. Hiscompetitive drive is legendary among the men's team. He has notlost any of that fire in the transition from rower to coach andthis is a real asset for our progam," said Pearson.

Noone lives in Shrewsbury, Mass.where he owns and operates his own landscaping business.
