Biography
2011-2012: Member ofthe varsity eight that placed first out of 23 boats in themen’s eight race and set a course record at the Snake Regatta(Oct. 15)...rowed for the second varsity eight in all seven springregattas...the second varsity eight won races against GeorgeWashington at the George Washington Invitational (April 7),Georgetown (April 14), Rutgers (April 22) and Bucknell (April29).
2010-2011: Member of the freshman eight in alleight competitions in the spring…freshman eight defeatedEARC member Rutgers (April 30) and took first place in thethird-level final at the Eastern Sprints (May 15).
Before Holy Cross: A four-year member of thevarsity rowing team at Fordham Prep….served as 2008-2009team captain…as a member of the New York Rowing Associationhe was part of a boat that advanced to the semifinals at the 2009Royal Canadian Henley…member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Paul and PatriciaPtucha…mother was the MVP and captain of the fencing team atSt. Mary’s College…has one brother(Matthew)...majoring in Physics.
