Holy Cross Athletics

2011-2012: Member ofthe varsity eight in two spring regattas and the second varsityeight in five spring regattas...rowed for the second varsity eightthat won races against Georgetown (April 14), Rutgers (April 22)and Bucknell (April 29).

2010-2011: Member of the second varsity eight forseven of the eight competitions in the spring… the secondvarsity eight defeated Bucknell (April 23) and EARC member Rutgers(April 30)...member of the varsity eight at the Eastern Sprints(May 15).

2009-2010: Rowed with the third varsityeight.

Before Holy Cross: A three-sport athlete at WallTownship H.S. in soccer, basketball and volleyball...played centerback on the soccer team for three years...captained the squad hissenior year, earned All-Division honors, anchored the defense thatshutout 10 opponents and led the team to the Central Jersey GroupIII sectional title game...voted the team’s Most Improved in2007, and won the Tom Farley Commitment to Excellent Award in2008...captained the basketball team for two years and won thesquad’s Sportsmanship Award in 2008...also played two yearson the volleyball team ...holds the school record for blocks in aseason...led the team to the 2009 Moorestown InvitationalTournament Championship...the recipient of the 2009 Duct Tape andGlue Award, given out by the Manasquan Coast Star...Vice Presidentof the National Honor Society and graduated with honors.

Personal: Son of Celeste and Rich Cecchetti...hasone brother (Sean)...aunt, Cara Hudson Brown, graduated from HolyCross in 1986...majoring in Mathematics.
