CAREER HONORS:
Patriot League Academic Honor Roll (2019, 2020)

AS A JUNIOR IN 2021:

• Placed 78th in a 5K time of 18:14.2 at the CCSU Mini Meet (10/22)

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2020:

• Did not compete. 
• Shortened season ran during Spring 2021 due to COVID-19.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019:

• Placed 167th at UMass Dartmouth Invitational in a five-mile time of 29:43.1 (9/21).
• Placed 108th at Nassaney Invitational, running a collegiate-best 8K time of 28:44.9 (9/7).
• Opened collegiate career with a 47th-place finish at UNH Invitational, running a 5K time of 18:08.9 (8/31).

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Three-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Xavier under Patrick Dormer.
• Captain during senior season for cross country.
• Earned team’s sophomore class MVP and junior class most improved honors.
• Owns personal best of 16:23 in three-mile.
• Team placed fourth at CHSAA Championships and won NYCHSAA title in 2018.
• Team won indoor NYCHSAA and CHSAA championships in 2018.
• Indoor personal bests include 54.1 in 400m, 1:29 in 600m, 2:04 in 800m and 4:39 in 1600m.
• Won Jim Scott Leadership Award in 2019 during outdoor track season.
• Team earned outdoor NYCHSAA title in 2018.
• Outdoor personal bests include 54.3 in 400m, 2:06 in 800m and 4:43 in 1600m.
• Named to school’s academic honor roll four times.
• Co-President of Spectrum at Xavier and member of Xavier Review.

PERSONAL:

• Son of Tim and Rita O’Brien.
• Has one sister (Stella).
• Plans to major in English at Holy Cross, looking to pursue a career in journalism.
