CAREER HONORS:

• Patriot League Academic Honor Roll (2019 & 2022)

AS A SENIOR IN 2022:

• Ran a personal best 10k time of 35:50.3 at the NCAA Division I Northeast Region Championship (11/11). 
• Placed 102nd at the Patriot League Championship, finishing the 8.05k at 28:25.5 (10/29). 
• Finished 84th with an 8k time of 27:11.8 at the NEICAAA Championship (10/8). 
• Set a personal best 8k time of 26:33.0 at the Lehigh Paul Short Run (9/30). 
• Took 21st in the 3.1M at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational with a time of 16:27.8 (9/10).
• Finished 34th with a 5k time of 16:50.8 at the Suffolk Short Course Classic (9/2). 

AS A JUNIOR IN 2021:

• Placed 103rd with an 8K time of 29:04.5 at the Patriot League Championship (10/31).
• Ran a personal best 5K time of 16:39.7 to place 47th at the CCSU Mini Meet (10/22).
• Placed 71st with an 8K time of 28:39.4 at the New England Championship (10/9).
• Finished 117th with a personal best 5-mile time of 27:19.5 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational (9/18).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2020:

• Did not compete. 
• Shortened season ran during Spring 2021 due to COVID-19.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019:

• Placed 91st at UMass Dartmouth Invitational, running five-mile time of 27:56.6 (9/21).
• Ran a personal-best 8K time of 28:15.3 at Nassaney Invitational, placing 93rd (9/7).
• Opened collegiate career with 42nd-place finish and 5K time of 17:25.1 at UNH Invitational (8/31).

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Two-year varsity member of cross country and track and field teams at Bergen Catholic under Bill Leonard.
• Team captain for cross country in 2018.
• Earned first team all-conference and third team all-county selections during senior cross country season, while earning second team all-conference honors as a junior.
• Cross country team won Big North and county group championships.
• Owns 5K personal record of 16:52.
• During senior indoor season, earned first team all-county honors for 4x800m relay and second team all-conference honors for 800m.
• Team won indoor conference and county championships.
• Indoor personal bests include 52.6 in 400m and 2:01.6 in 800m.
• Won state outdoor group and sectional championships in 4x800m relay as a senior.
• Outdoor first team all-conference and first team all-state selection in 4x800m relay during senior year.
• Won individual outdoor conference title in 800 meters and named first team all-conference as a senior.
• Outdoor personal bests include 51.15 in 400m, 1:56.7 in 800m and 4:35.2 in 1600m.
• Named to Bergen Catholic Principal’s List as a junior and senior.
• Member of National Honor Society.

 PERSONAL:

• Son of Mark and Kathy Welch.
• Has two brothers (Aidan and Ryan).
• Plans to major in political science at Holy Cross, with aspirations of working in law.
