Biography
2015-2016:
- Raced in three fall events
- Rowed in the varsity eight that was third in a field of 27 at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 10)
- Finished fourth out of 24 boats in the freshman four race at the Head of Schuylkill Regatta (Oct. 24)
- Earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades
Before Holy Cross:
- Member of Community Rowing Inc.’s club women’s crew team under head coach Veronika Platzer
- Captain of the club team in her senior year
- Competed in Youth Nationals in 2012-2014
- Club placed sixth at the 2013 Head of the Charles
- Team came in second at the 2014 Canadian Henley
- Attended Holliston High School
- Member of National Honor Society
Personal:
- Daughter of Gerald and Diane Roy
- Has one brother (Chris) and two sisters (Catherine and Victoria)
- Catherine (Class of 2013) was a team captain for the Holy Cross women’s rowing team and is currently an assistant coach for the Crusaders
- Chris (Class of 2015) was a member of the Holy Cross men’s rowing team
- Has not yet declared a major
