Lindsay Jackson is in her tenth season as the head field hockey coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2024-25. Jackson, who is the fifth head coach in program history, came to Holy Cross from Limestone College where she served as the head coach for six seasons.

During the abbreviated 2020 season, Jackson led the Crusaders to the postseason for the fourth time in her six seasons. She also coached Emily Devine to an All-Patriot League first team selection and Caitlin Little and Gabby Venezia to second team honors.

Jackson led the Crusaders back to the postseason in 2019, and for the third time in her five seasons as head coach. She saw three student-athletes named to the All-Patriot League teams, Madeline Alderfer to the first team and Emily Devine and Marcia LaPlante to the second team. Minke Koomen and Devine were both named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.

In 2018, Jackson coached two student-athletes to All-Patriot League selections. Emily Loprete was named to the First Team, and Suzanne Noone to the Second. Noone was also named to the Academic All-League Team.

In 2017, Holy Cross posted a 7-11 record with a 3-3 mark in the Patriot League. The team earned its second-straight bid to the Patriot League Tournament, which had not been accomplished by the program since the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Jackson coached three student-athlete to All-Patriot League recognition in Maureen Connolly, Emily Loprete and Rachel Lapar. Connolly garnered multiple honors under Jackson, including First Team All-Northeast Region, First Team All-ECAC, and the Holy Cross Varsity Club's Meegan Athletic Achievement Award. Connolly broke the school record for single-season points (47) and goals (19), and finished her collegiate career ranked second all-time in career points (123) and goals (50).

In 2016, Jackson led the Crusaders to a 9-10 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders made their first appearance in the Patriot League Tournament since the 2006 season. Jackson also coached four student-athletes to All-Patriot League recognition in Marcia LaPlante, Maureen Connolly, Emily Loprete and Lauren Sutherland. LaPlante posted the best save percentage in the nation at .817, and earned the Patriot League's Goalkeeper of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. LaPlante and Connolly also garnered All-Northeast Region honors.

Jackson was responsible for building a very successful Limestone field hockey program in a short period of time. After a winless inaugural season, Jackson’s Limestone squad improved its win-loss record every year since. She guided Limestone to its first winning season in 2011 with an 11-6 overall record and increased the team’s win total to 13-5 in 2012.

Limestone posted a 15-5 record in 2013 and won the Division II ECAC Invitational Tournament. After joining the ECAC Field Hockey League in 2014, Jackson guided the Saints to a program-record 17-3 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play. The nationally-ranked Saints claimed the first ECAC Field Hockey Tournament Championship in 2014. For her success, she was named the ECAC Field Hockey League Coach of the Year as well as the Division II Coach of the Year by Synapse Sports.

Prior to her time at Limestone, where she also served as the senior women’s administrator since 2010, Jackson had previous coaching experience at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian College as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach for two seasons from 2007-2008. She also coached at the USA Futures Field Hockey Program in the spring of 2012 and 2013. Jackson got her coaching start in 2006, where she was an assistant field hockey coach at Southern High School in Harwood, Md.

Over the course of her career, Jackson also has worked many field hockey camps, including at James Madison, Maryland and Wake Forest. In addition to operating her own local clinics, she also worked at the USA Athletes International and Circle Play camps.

Jackson attended Mercyhurst University, where she played both field hockey and lacrosse. She earned All-Academic accolades during every field hockey and lacrosse season and was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coach Association (IWLCA) Division II Academic Honor Roll four times. Jackson also participated in the North vs. South field hockey and lacrosse All-Star games during her senior season.

Jackson graduated from Mercyhurst in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management. She earned her master’s degree in Coaching Education from Ohio University in 2013.
