Jenny Holmquist is in her first season with the Holy Cross field hockey team for the 2023-24 campaign.
A 2020 graduate of American International College with a degree in human biology, Holmquist was a three-year starter for the Yellowjackets, appearing in 68 games over her four years. Holmquist was recognized for her outstanding performance in the community and on the field when she was awarded the Robert J. Burke Athletic Directors Award in her junior and senior campaigns. A team captain as a senior, Holmquist led the team in shots and goals, and earned NE-10 Player of the Week honors.
Following her time in Springfield, Holmquist moved to England to pursue a masters in forensic science from the University of the West of England – Bristol. While studying, Holmquist suited up for the Ladies 1's team at the University.Â
After obtaining her master's degree, Holmquist stayed in England, playing for the Redland Ladies Hockey Club for the 2021 – 2023 seasons. As a captain in the 2022 season, Holmquist helped the Ladies 1's team earn a promotion into the Premier 1 League.
Prior to her time at AIC, Holmquist played for the Maine Styx field hockey club in Portland, Maine, where she has served as a coach since.
