CAREER HONORS: 
Patriot League Academic Honor Roll (2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22)

2022-23 INDOOR (SENIOR):

• Set a personal best in the 300 meters at the Alden Invitational with a time of 39.04.
• Placed third in the 200 meter finals and fifth in the 55 meter finals at the dual meet with New Hampshire.
• Set a personal best in the 60 meter dash (7.45) and placed ninth in the 200 meters at the URI Coaches Invitational. 

2022 OUTDOOR (JUNIOR):

• Set a personal best in the 100 meters at the Holy Cross Invitational with a time of 11.77.
• Finished 18th in the 200 meters at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship.

2021-22 INDOOR (JUNIOR):

• Set a personal best in the 300 meters (39.44) at the Brown Invitational.
• Set a personal best in the 400 meters (56.24) at the URI Invitational.
• Claimed second in the 200 meters and helped 4x400 relay take first at the dual meet against New Hampshire.
• Finished 18th in the 200 meters at the Patriot League Indoor Championship.

2021 OUTDOOR (SOPHOMORE):

• Placed eighth in the 800 meters (23.51) against Rhode Island (4/21). 
• Placed fifth in the 100 meters (12.01) against Stonehill (4/18). 
• Outdoor portion of season shortened due to COVID-19.

2020-21 INDOOR (SOPHOMORE):

• Placed third in the 200 meters (23.83) at the Patriot League Challenge (2/28). 
• Indoor portion of season shortened and ran in the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19.

2020 OUTDOOR (FRESHMAN):

• Outdoor portion of season canceled due to COVID-19.
• Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2019-20 INDOOR (FRESHMAN):

• Ran a season-best time of 7.56 in the 60m at the URI Coaches Tribute (2/8).
• Posted a season best in the 200m at the BU Terrier Classic, running a time of 22.99 (1/25).
• Placed second in the 200m (24.05) and fifth in the finals of the 55m (7.01) at the University of New Hampshire (1/18).

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Three-year varsity member of the track and field team at Bronxville High School under Ian Clark.
• Team captain during junior year.
• Team won Section 1 Class C Championship in 2018-19.
• All-League selection in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
• Won team’s Best Sprinter Award in 2019.
• Part of sprint medley relay team that won New Balance Nationals indoor title in 2019, also placing third in the distance medley relay.
• Placed second in distance medley at Penn Relays in 2019.
• Owns school records in sprint and distance medley relays.
• Personal bests include 11.83 in 100m, 22.83 in 200m, 36.85 in 300m and 53.3 in 400m.
• Played two varsity seasons of football at Bronxville under Patsy Manganelli, serving as team captain senior year.
• All-League selection as a wide receiver and safety during senior year.
• Also a member of Celtic Culture Club and Habitat for Humanity.
• Named to academic honor roll and won Dickerson Street Award in 2019.

PERSONAL:

• Son of William and Mary Alice O’Connell.
• Father played football at Holy Cross (Class of 1987).
• Has one sister (Alice).
• Grandfather John J. O’Connell is a 1958 graduate of Holy Cross.
• Majoring in international studies.
