AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2020: 

  • Team captain.
  • Named a HERO Sports Sophomore All-American.
  • Selected to All-Patriot League first team.
  • Earned FCS National Defensive Player of the Week honors from Stats Perform on March 30.
  • Named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on March 29.
  • Totaled 41 tackles on the year, including 25 solo tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss. 
  • Also recorded one sack, one fumble recovery, one interception and one quarterback hurry.
  • Had six tackles and a fumble recovery at Lehigh (3/13). 
  • Recorded 12 tackles and a sack against Fordham (3/27). 
  • Had an interception return of nine yards while also totaling nine tackles in Patriot League Championship Game against Bucknell (4/17). 
  • Had a season-high 13 tackles in FCS first round game at South Dakota State (4/24).
  • Shortened season played during Spring 2021 due to COVID-19.
  • Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019:

  • A finalist for the Jerry Rice Award.
  • Earned first team freshman All-America honors from Hero Sports.
  • Named second team All-Patriot League.
  • Selected as the WEEI Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Started all 13 games at linebacker.
  • Led the team with 93 tackles, seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss. 
  • Also totaled three interceptions, three fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
  • Led the team in tackles four times on the year.
  • Finished the season third in the nation in fumble recoveries.
  • Ranked fourth in the Patriot League in interceptions, sixth in both quarterback sacks and tackles for loss, and seventh in tackles.
  • Made a season-high 13 tackles at Navy in his collegiate debut, to earn Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors.
  • Recorded 11 tackles with one tackle for loss in the NCAA playoff game at Monmouth.
  • Totaled seven tackles, two interceptions, a sack and two tackles for loss during the victory over Georgetown, and was named both the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.
  • Posted six tackles and two quarterback sacks in the win over Lafayette.
  • Made eight solo tackles with a sack, a fumble recovery and three tackles for loss against Harvard.
  • Totaled seven tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Yale.
  • Selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Played for head coach Mike Giannone at De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Mich.
  • Served as team captain during his senior season.
  • Led team to two Division II state championships during his junior and senior years.
  • Named first team all-state by the Associated Press as a senior.
  • Selected to the Detroit News Dream Team and the Detroit Free Press Dream Team following his senior season.
  • Totaled 261 tackles, 14 quarterback sacks, 24 tackles for loss, three interceptions and five forced fumbles during his high school career.
