Holy Cross Athletics

2014-2015:

• Competed in nine individual events including 50, 100 and 200 butterfly, 50, 100 and 1,000 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 individual medley and 100 breaststroke
• Also competed on the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relay and the 200 and 400 medley relay teams
• Swam season-best times in the 50 (23.42), 100 (50.85) freestyle at the Patriot League Championship and 100 butterfly (54.96) at the New England Catholic Invitational
• Also posted season-best times in the 50 butterfly (26.35) versus Lehigh, 200 butterfly (2:16.21) at the Worcester City Championship and 1,000 freestyle (12:32.66) at the New England Catholic Invitational
• Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 

Before Holy Cross:

• Four-year member of the varsity swim team at North Kingstown High School
• Team captain from 2010-2012
• Received Principal’s Sportsmanship award
• Named second-team All-State in 2012.

Personal:

• Son of Mark and Julie-anne Zarrella
• Father, Mark, ran track & field and threw javelin at the University of Rhode Island
• Has one sister, Mia
• Majoring in classics and political science.
