AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019
- Placed 165th at UMass Dartmouth Invite, running a time of 29:39.7 (9/21).
- Ran a collegiate-best 8K time of 28:19.3 at Nassaney Invitational, placing 94th (9/7).
- Opened collegiate career with a 44th-place finish at UNH Invitational, running a 5K time of 17:43.3 (8/31).
BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
- Member of the varsity cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field teams under Bill Leonard at Bergen Catholic.
- First team All-Conference selection for track during sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
- All-County selection for track during senior year.
- Won team’s “Hardest Worker Award” during senior year.
- Qualified for Penn Relays in 4x800 meter relay as a senior.
- Won Non-Public A State Championship in 4x800 meter relay during senior season.
- Personal bests include 1:57 in 800 meters, 4:23 in 1,600 meters and 9:49 in 3,200 meters.
- Team won county group championship in cross country during senior season.
PERSONAL:
- Son of George and Dorothy Nichols.
- Brother Erikson plays baseball at Duke.
- Plans to major in accounting at Holy Cross.
