CJ Egrie of the baseball team and senior
Racheli Levy-Smith of the women's lacrosse team have been selected as the 2025-2026 winners of the John A. Meegan Athletic Achievement Award. Presented by the Holy Cross Varsity Club, the Meegan Award goes to one male and one female student-athlete, regardless of class, who attained outstanding achievement during their college careers. This award is given by the club in memory of the late John A. Meegan (Class of 1939), loyal follower of all Crusader sports and esteemed treasurer of the Varsity Club from 1988 to 1996.
Egrie is a two-time Patriot League Player of the Year selection in 2025 and 2026, in addition to being named first team All-Patriot League twice. He has appeared in 42 games with 41 starts for the Crusaders this year, batting .313 with a school single-season record 40 stolen bases, 39 runs scored and a .452 on-base percentage. Egrie leads the Patriot League and ranks second in the nation with an average of 0.95 stolen bases per game, in addition to standing second in the conference in on-base percentage, fourth in walks (31), fifth in batting average and fifth in runs scored. Throughout the course of his collegiate career, he owns a .293 batting average with 140 hits, 128 runs scored, 23 doubles, 87 walks, a school-record 92 stolen bases and a .425 on-base percentage.
Levy-Smith earned third team All-America honors from USA Lacrosse in 2026, in addition to being named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. She is also a three-time All-Patriot League selection, winning first team honors in both 2025 and 2026. Levy-Smith started all 17 of Holy Cross' games on defense this year, leading the team with a program single-season record 191 draw controls, 41 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls. She ranked second in the conference with averages of 11.24 draw controls and 2.41 caused turnovers per game, while standing fourth in ground balls per game (2.41). Over the course of her career with the Crusaders, Levy-Smith recorded a school-record 475 draw controls, 111 ground balls and 88 caused turnovers in 61 games played.
