The student section at all Holy Cross home athletics events will now have a new identity. Following a vote by the student body, the WooCru has been selected as the official name for the high-energy student section. 

Holy Cross students will have a dedicated section at all home ticketed sporting events that will be branded as the WooCru, with new elements to support student engagement.  

The WooCru brand supports the connection between Holy Cross students and the Worcester community. The names of the finalists for the student section were selected by different spirit groups and organizations around campus. The naming contest was brought to students by the Student Government Association, the Office of Student Involvement, and Athletics. 

Additional information on branding, logo creation, t-shirt design contests, student leadership opportunities and more will be launching this fall prior to the 2025-26 Holy Cross Athletics season.
