Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Crusaders downed by Catamounts in late 1-0 loss

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team headed back on the road to Vermont (UVM) coming up with a tough 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon.

IN GOAL:

  • Holy Cross: Olivia Dubin (L, 0-2), 3 saves
  • UVM: Kylee Carafoli (W, 2-0-2), 4 saves

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Neither team was able to score in the first half. Carafoli made three saves to Dubin's two.
  • The Catamounts led the Crusaders 8-5 in shots and Holy Cross had the 2-1 advantage in corners through 45 minutes.
  • A late second-half goal netted by UVM's Tessa Weiss at 83:22 led the Catamounts to a 1-0 win over the Crusaders.
  • The Catamounts led Holy Cross with a 15-13 advantage in shots and the Crusaders led 4-3 in corners to finish the game.
