WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team returned to the road making its way to Army for a midweek matchup. A second-half goal by junior midfielder Olivia Perez led the Crusaders to a big 1-0 victory over the Black Knights.

IN GOAL:

• Holy Cross: Julia Walsh (W, 5-4), 6 saves
• Army: Sage Strohman (L, 7-3), 1 save

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Neither team was able to score in the first half. Walsh made two saves to Strohman's zero.
• The Black Knights led the Crusaders 5-2 in shots and 5-3 in corners through 45 minutes.
• In the second half, freshman Ava Graham made a great pass into the box to find Perez in front of the net and knock in a huge goal for the Crusaders at 55:57. Holy Cross held on for the 1-0 victory.
• Army led Holy Cross with a 16-8 advantage in shots and 7-6 in corners to conclude the game.
